"do believe that there is a bright future for dairy, although there are still many challenges to come," said Jim Paice MR as he addressed figures from the industry at Dairy UK's Annual Dinner.The Minister of State for Agriculture and Food referred back to his speech at the previous year's event, warning the audience that he "didn't set out to please, but set out to provoke action." Although he expressed his disappointment that the UK still imports a quarter of its needs, Paice praised the industry's leadership on sustainability, citing Dairy2020 and the Green Food Project as examples of the sector's succesful collaboration.
