Dairy UK has expressed disappointment that it had proved necessary to postpone pilot badger culls.The organisation stated: "A pragmatic, science-based approach to tackling Bovine TB remains the correct approach and it is frustrating for all involved that the pilots can not go ahead effectively at this stage. Dairy UK support efforts to ensure the pilots proceed at the earliest opportunity."The Secretary of State Owen Paterson announced to the House of Commons on 23 October that Defra had agreed to postpone the pilot badger culls until summer 2013.
