The benefits of a well supported, company-wide health & safety culture, tackling the risks associated with company vehicles, including cars, and a greater understanding of working with insurance brokers and claims mitigation activity, were among the useful lessons delegates took away from Dairy UK's recent health & safety seminar. Chairman Dougie Gardiner, of Robert Wiseman Dairies, and Chairman of Dairy UK's Occupational Health & Safety Committee, introduced a dozen speakers, including senior Health and Safety Executive (HSE) officials, industry and external experts, insurers and equipment suppliers, who spent the day providing good, practical examples of best practice and advice at the Hilton Express, Birmingham NEC last month.
