Anne Mclntosh, the Conservative MP for Thirsk and Malton, has been elected chair of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee.rnShe succeeds the Rt Hon Michael Jack who headed the group in the last parliament. Her voting record indicates that she voted strongly against the hunting ban and in favour of laws to slow down climate change. She will take up the position formally when the remaining members of the Committee are nominated by the House in the coming weeks.
