The largest grant ever to be awarded by the EU in the field of animal health has been secured by Moredun Research Institute in Edinburgh.rnThe €9 million grant (approximately ￡7.5 million) has been awarded to the Moredun-led 'Paravac' consortium for the purpose of developing vaccines for significant worm parasites which infect livestock.rnThe grant, part of the European Union's Framework 7 research funding call, will be used to fund a series of projects over the next three years and will include over 20 academic partners worldwide.
