Some of the highlights of the Bureau's work in its first five years included: * The demonstration that coal dust greatly increased the magnitude of mine explosions over those involving methane alone.n It has demonstrated an eight-hour time weighted average exposure reduction of 3 dB(A).The urethane coating also extends chain life by preventing chain link failures.
