This Mini's story began in Longbridge on 28 September 1968. The following day it was shipped to British Leyland Sweden AB. A five-year-old Norwegian boy, called Caspar Hille, had no idea that in 45 years he and this Pick-up were to play a part in Norwegian electric car history. It was in 1980 that Caspar purchased his first motor car. His passion won over practicality when he squeezed his 6-foot 4-inch frame into a 1969 Mini Cooper S. He had just begun his training to be a mechanic and the Cooper, with a history as a competition racer and an engine in dire need of an overhauling, seemed the perfect vehicle to help him learn.
