He and his wife Janet are always scouring the classified ad pages of all motoring publications, but he actually saw the advertisement for this one in the May 2004 45th anniversary MiniWorld special issue Trevor remembers spotting the ad: "It was the '61 Mini Cooper that caught my eye, no picture, no price. I rang it up and got the owner's wife, she said 'he won't be back until late', so I said: 'Do you know how much he wants for it?' She said: 'He thought about £300', She sounded as if she thought that was a lot.
