We often find that well-known cars have a gap in their history. We may know the first and present owners but not what happened in between. We know that 627 HUE was the second Austin Seven to leave the Longbridge Production Line, that it was converted to a roadster, and that it is now owned by Mr K Muruyama in Japan. But where was it in between? MiniWorld has heard from Andy Hayden, who used to own it. He told us that the car was not registered until September 1963, by the Donald Healey Motor Company, Warwick. The logbook stated saloon but was later amended to 'convertible'.
