Sammie Acaster from Hull would love to hear from anyone who knows the whereabouts of her dad's first Mini. He got it in 1973, with no engine, and paid the princely sum of ￡12.50 for it. He was just 13 at the time. The car had been 'Cooperised' and was painted Agate Red with a black roof. It was eventually sold to a lady called Lesley Anne Tempest in Newcastle. According to the DVLA database it was originally a Morris Mini Minor, registered on 29 September 1959, but probably off the road since 1980. If it is still sitting in someone's garage they would love to buy it back.
