I have recently purchased a 1967 Mk 2 Mini 1000, engine no: RKM1119E 111228. Under the bonnet it seems to be original and I would like to try and keep it this way. Could you please advise me on how I could make it go a bit faster. I was thinking of a pair of 1_(1/4) -inch SU carbs and the biggest valve head possible, plus a cam and a diff. Also, could you tell me if the Cooper models had a broad brake shoe on the back or whether they were the same as an 850/998 standard Mini?
