Banks need more support from social care services to prevent vulnerable people becoming victims of scams, trading standards experts have warned. A new report by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute and Bournemouth University's National Centre for Post-Qualifying Social Work said banks should put in place a 24-hour delay on new or large transactions for vulnerable customers and other security measures, such as automatic texts to carers or relatives.
