摘要

This issue of the SMPTE Motion Imaging Journal takes a broad look at current implementations and future considerations for the media content creation, production, and distribution components that surround and support the moving image industries. The papers in this issue present a common theme—one that deals with the term “infrastructure” in reference to the various terminologies, components, and practices that make up the capture, manipulation, distribution, and reproduction of moving (television) images.
