Mercury (magnitude -0.7 to 5.1): Moving from Capricornus into Sagittarius. For northern hemisphere observers, Mercury will begin the month above the southwest sky at sunset and follow the Sun below the horizon about 21/2 hours later. As the month advances, Mercury will move into the glare of the Sun by the end of the third week. For Southern hemisphere observers, Mercury will begin the month above the west-southwest sky at sunset and follow the Sun below the horizon about 1 hour later. As the month advances, Mercury will move into the glare of the Sun before the end of the third week.
