摘要

Although strange aerial phenomena have been reported for decades in Colorado's Front Range newspapers, the Pikes Peak "Ghost Lights" of 1929 are notable for the number of witnesses and explanations generated. As reported in the Colorado Springs Gazette, a Mrs. C. O. Seleen, first saw the mysterious light on Sunday, February 17, 1929. Mrs. Seleen "stated that the light appeared to be on the right of the summit house and lasted from 9 until 9:30 Sunday night. She declared the illumination was similar to the fireworks display at the Adaman Club on New Years Eve."
