摘要

Biological Information and Communication Technology (Bio-ICT) is an emerging interdisciplinary technology that integrates biological science into ICT. The primary goals of Bio-ICT are to understand computing and communication mechanisms in biological systems, apply the understanding to advance existing ICT paradigms, and ultimately, create a totally new ICT paradigm by exploiting mechanisms and materials from biological systems. The research area of Bio-ICT involves various disciplines, such as network science, complex systems theory, systems biology, unconventional computing and nanoscale communication networks.
