摘要

The aim of the armaments is to ensure armament, and equipment for the Armed Forces, while emphasizing the required ability to defend the interests of the Slovak Republic, effective participation of the armed forces in a broad range of operations under NATO lead operations, EU and UN lead operations, with stress being put on employability, deployment, maintenance, mobility, flexibility and interoperability comparable with the armed forces of the Alliance members. The wide range of missions and roles issued by the Government to the Belgian Armed Forces can be subdivided as follows: upon request by public authorities, to provide support to the Nation in case of emergency on the national territory, as well as to provide military support to maintain public order, international humanitarian relief and assistance, non-combatant evacuation operations, defence diplomacy, participation in international peace support operations, to contribute to collective defence of the Alliance, and finally, to participate in the fight against terrorism.
