I personally think that we are at one of those rare tipping points in history as a transatlantic community. We're at a moment where free societies, as a transatlantic community, have come out of the readjustments of the post-Cold-War period, we've come out of the near divorce on Iraq, have decided we are going to stay in this marriage together. But I personally don't think we've spent enough time explaining to our publics what this marriage, what this transatlantic community is about in the 21st Century.
