Are you a market liberal cornucopian, an institutional reformist, a neo-Malthusian bioenvironmentalist, or a social green? Why are there international treaties and policies addressing acid rain and ozone depletion, for example, yet there are not yet similar treaties addressing world forests or deforestation? How do we effectively measure the success of global environmental treaties? These are examples of questions that Speth and Hass explore in Global Environmental Governance as they lay a broad foundation for those wanting to better understand our society's impacts on the planet and how those impacts can best be addressed.
