In today's society, there is a steadily increasing need for batteries. In particular, there is a need for high-performance, stable batteries to promote renewable energy for the future. This is because renewable energy is dependent on natural phenomena, and in order to optimally manage power generation using these types of energy, stable power must be supplied using batteries. Among the various types of batteries, lithium ion batteries have good efficiency, long life, and can be installed in places where space is limited. Kawakami is Director and Managing Executive Officer of ELIIY Power Co., Ltd., which develops and manufactures large, stationary lithium ion batteries, and he emphasized that safety is an essential characteristic for stationary batteries.
