Attended by the Vice Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, Shinako Tsuchiya, president of the Japanese Association of Medical Sciences, Fumimaro Takaku, and leaders of a number of medical regulatory agencies from around the world, the PMDA Forum in Tokyo was both a celebration of the agency's achievement over its first decade, and a confluence of ideas on the agency's future direction. Despite the weather, with Tokyo suffering through its worst blizzard in 45 years, the event was attended by a large audience of more than 800. The program was in two sessions.
