The International Pregnancy Research Alliance was established in 2012, as a collaboration between universities in China (Chongqing Medical University, Kunming Medical University, Sichuan University) Canada (University of Alberta) and New Zealand (University of Auckland). A Canada-China-New Zealand joint laboratory of maternal fetal medicine has been established in Chongqing and the Alliance held its inaugural annual symposium in Chongqing in 2013. We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Director of the International Pregnancy Research Alliance (IPRA). The Deputy Director will be responsible for the day to day running of the research facility, and will assist the IPRA Scientific Director (Professor Philip Baker) in the establishment, development and progression of a comprehensive, multi-faceted international research programme (involving studies of the pathogenesis and management of major pregnancy complications: pre-eclampsia, fetal growth restriction, gestational diabetes, pre-term birth).
