摘要

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) was founded in 1911 by a group of visionaries to nurture future generations of leaders and promote a knowledge-based society. For the past 100 years, HKU has lived up to its promise, growing with and helping to shape the city as Hong Kong redefines its position on the international landscape of education and research. Today HKU has become a comprehensive research-intensive institution comprising ten faculties. HKU has cast its net wide and attracted funding, talents and international collaboration, enabling the university to produce numerous important discoveries. HKU has far-reaching influence that goes beyond Greater China and the Asia-Pacific region.
