As part of a major strategic move by Nature Publishing Group (NPG) into China, NPG, publisher of the international science journal Nature, seeks a Country Head to lead the group's future business and editorial activities in China. Based in new offices in Shanghai, the Country Head will be part of a broader initiative by the Macmillan Group (to which NPG belongs) that aims to establish a strong presence for Macmillan in China, with particular emphasis on science and education. This is a senior appointment with a reporting line to the Regional Managing Director of NPG, currently based in Tokyo, and to the Managing Director of Greater China for the Macmillan Group of Companies, based in Shanghai.
