The DNASU plasmid repository distributes over 100,000 sequence-verified and annotated cDNA-containing plasmids to researchers worldwide. The plasmid collection includes human cDNAs, as well as full genome collections for S. cerevisiae, B. anthracis, F. tularensis, V. cholera. Y. pestis collections include approximately five hundred human kinase genes, one thousand human breast cancer-associated genes, protein expression plasmids created by the Protein Structure Initiative, and over fifty empty vectors. The plasmid annotation, which includes the full-length sequence, vector information, and associated publications is stored in a freely available, searchable database and is linked to a variety of additional resources.
