BETWEEN THESE FOUR WALLS... Scientific meetings, once a closed environment where unpublished results could be discussed and still be regarded as work in progress, may be a thing of the past. With conference attendees now technically able to blog, twitter and network on whatever they see and hear, the old distinctions between what's published and what's not are beginning to blur. Geoff Brumfiel (with 90 followers on Twitter) outlines the shape of meetings to come.
