摘要

To achieve flexible information sharing, a new distributed object model, the shaped object model, has been proposed. The key features of this model are the separation of the Graphical User Interface (GUI) from the object itself, and the employment of a script language for defining and distributing the GUI part. With this model, the object can be easily distributed and shared among the users. The paper describes its concept, the required software architecture, and the experimental implementation using Mach microkernel and Tcl/Tk (Tool command language/Tool kit) script language.
