This paper describes the hardware configuration technologies for the enhancement product of PX7800SV and PX7600SV. The series of PX7800SV and PX7600SV has the high-speed extended input output processor, the high-speed optical loop control, high-speed optical loop channel, the LAN control facility and network adapter. These enhancement products achieve higher cost-performance and sharp reduction of layout area by the adoption of high-speed bus and the high-density CMOS LSI having a lot of pin connections, the compacting a card, improvement of cabinet structure, etc.
