Jetix Europe, the children's broadcaster formerly known as Fox Kids Europe, this week vowed to improve the performance of its UK channel. The company sees the extreme competitiveness of the domestic market as a key factor in the decline of the UK channel's audience share, from around 0.3 per cent to 0.1 per cent of multichannel viewing over the last year. This stands in marked contrast to the improved showing of the company's children's channels on mainland Europe, especially in France. The company completed the rebranding of its channels from Fox Kids to Jetix this month, with the renaming of the last Fox Kids channel in Germany.
