Consumed by conflict and caught in the grip of a severe conservation crisis, the eastern lowland gorilla is fighting for survival. Fauna & Flora International (FFI) have put out an urgent call to save the remaining 2,000 or so eastern lowland gorillas. Funds are sought immediately to begin essential scientific monitoring of the remaining gorilla population now living in the Maiko and Kahuzi-Biega National Parks in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
