摘要

A pathotype of Synchytrium endobioticum (Schilb.) Perc. that is new to The Netherlands was detected in the northeast of the territory at Wezuperbrug. Laboratory tests were employed with German and Dutch potato varieties that are known to differentiate among the pathotypes 1, 2, 6, 8, and 18. Using the Glynne-Lernmerzahl method (in Germany) and the Spieckermann method (in The Netherlands), the differential potato variety Saphir produced exclusively resistant reactions upon inoculation with compost originating from a wart-infected field at Wezuperbrug. The response of the differential potato varieties showed that the tested inoculum represents pathotype 6, and not pathotype 2, as had been supposed previously.
