摘要

The development of building structure technology at the Building Construction Division of Nippon Steel has traditionally focused on steel structures for industrial facilities and superhigh-rise office buildings. In recent years, the division has shifted attention to the development of composite structures of reinforced concrete and steel for apartment buildings with the aim of becoming a medium-scale contractor with leading-edge technology. Representative examples include concrete-filled tube (CFT) columns, which are receiving much attentionin in the New Urban Housing Project; steel-encased reinforced concrete (RC) columns for high-rise reinforced concrete apartment buildings; and PLRC (steel plate-reinforced concrete) columns, which are cruciform columns composed of steel plate and reinforced concrete developed for medium- and high-rise apartment buildings.
