摘要

Various materials and processes have been used in the production of micro-porous films for applications where air and moisture breathability are desired. The practical examples are in the areas of: 1. Hygienic items such as disposable baby diapers, adult incontinence products and feminine sanitary napkins 2. ealthcare items such as breathable garments, masks and bandages 3. Industrial items such as house wrap, filtration membranes and battery separators The technology is continuously evolving in the areas of a cost-effective manufacturing process, improving material formulation to fine tune the film's properties, and controlling pore sizes and their distributions for a variety of applications. One can foresee this microporous film technology as moving from simply "breathable" into "breathable and biodegradable" and other property combinations not yet considered.
