The Object Management Group (OMG) has been standardizing fundamental CORBA specifications based on object-oriented technology. Many systems have been developed around CORBA in recent years. As a result, OMG is now vigorously working on standards for even higher level functions that can be used directly in the development of applications, including business objects. This article takes a look at some of OMG's recent activities.
