On behalf of the Nuclear Fusion Board of Editors, I would like to introduce the 2011 and 2012 Nuclear Fusion prizes. Nuclear Fusion is the leading journal in our field and recorded a high impact factor (IF) of 4.27 in 2009, as well as the more recent IF of 4.09 in 2011. I would like to acknowledge former Scientific Editor Paul Thomas for these achievements.
