摘要

Significant progress has been made in fusion research in the area of long pulse experiments in Japan (TRIAM-1M, LHD and JT-60U), France (TS) and China (HT-7) and the construction of superconducting devices in India (SST-1), China (EAST), Korea (KSTAR) and Germany (W7-X). Consensus is now established on steady state operation in a tokamak reactor, and advanced tokamak research is directed towards the demonstration of AT operation in superconducting devices. It is widely recognized that the world fusion community should make more effort to extend their research towards such long pulse steady state experiments. The present experiments were limited to low density regime and study at reactor-relevant high-density regime is required.
