Michele Fluornoy, who was the first woman to serve as the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, is stepping down from her post, according to published reports. According to the Associated Press, she said she is leaving in February to spend more time with her family. "Right now I need to recalibrate a little bit and invest a little bit more in the family account for a while," she said in an AP interview. "We've been going flat out for more than three years."
