This short book lays out a normative model for integrated coastal management (ICM) planning and then describes each step in the process. The book is based primarily on the author's experience from 2002 to 2008 as project leader for the Marine and Coastal Resources Management Project in Indonesia. The book is aimed at coastal planners in countries new to ICM, particularly developing countries.
