摘要

1. As described in Section 3, each buoy gathered wave and meteorological data where it is located. This data give valuable and applicable information for an area where it's records are effective. The model derived for each buoy is also useful, effective and applicable for the region where the buoy records are effective. Detailed information about the buoys can be found in the web site of US NDBC . In addition, as mentioned in Section 1, empirical methods are especially preferred to solve practical engineering problems. Therefore, the author preferred focusing on the generalisation of empirical equations.rn2. The detailed explanations about the feed forward back propagation algorithm (FFBP) and random weight assignment can be found in the Wu (1994), Bishop and Hinton (1995), Haykin (1999) and Principe et al. (1999). It is also clearly mentioned in the last of Section 2.1.
