As your new Editors in our foreword it is our pleasure and privilege to acknowledge the exemplary work of Professors Michael McCormick and Rameswar Bhatta-charyya in positioning OCEAN ENGINEERING as one of the most successful journals in the field. Their outstanding achievements will be a difficult act to follow. We, together with the help and support of our colleagues on the Editorial Board and the Elsevier Publishing team endeavour to sustain the reputation of the journal with the publication of highest quality papers and to ensure a fast review process for timely publication of results of research and development.
