摘要

My interest in research started as a child, due to the influence of my parents. My father was accountant, but he devoted all the time he could to investigating the archeology of my town and the surrounding region, where he made important discoveries. My mother worked together with him and also developed a strong interest in local history. With this background, I thought that looking for scientific challenges and discovering new things was what I wanted to do in my life. I was lucky, and I was encouraged to go to the university at a time when many families considered that girls did not need a formal education because their basic destiny was getting married.
