In-store sales at convenience stores are “steady,” but fuel sales continue to lag, according to a new National Association of Convenience Stores survey of U.S. convenience store owners. Some 58% of retailers responding to the survey said in-store sales in the first nine months of this year are higher than year-ago figures, and 64% said in-store sales were up in September compared with those of last year.
