1. Brazilian Petrobras discovered new oil field in the shallow part of the Campos Basin. Recoverable reserves have been estimated at 25 million bbl (3.5 million m~3). Netpay thickness of the reservoir is 420 ft (128 m) and oil density is 20 °API (933 kg/m~3).rn2. The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) has joined forces with a local con-rnsortium and signed a US$10 billion contract to develop the Kish gas field. Kish is a giant gas field in the Persian Gulf. It was discovered in 2006 and contains an estimated 45 trillion ft~3 (1.272 trillion m~3) of recoverable natural gas and 221 million bbl (35.1 million m3) of recoverable condensate.
