The recent, global climate summit in Copenhagen, has not produced any clear answer on when and how definitive climate legislation will be carried out by many countries, including the world's two largest GHG emitters, China and the US. Meanwhile, on Feb. 2010, the US Environmental Protection Agency announced that it will slow down its earlier ruling regarding CO_2 emissions from refineries, while possibly raising the threshold on these limits. Therefore, many firms have already initiated or implemented CO_2 management programs.
