Lukoil discovered a major multilayer oil and gas condensate in the Northern part of Caspian Sea, in the field in the Severny license area which was ever opened in Russia for the last 10 years. From the discovery well in Yuzhno-Rakushechnaya structure, 220 km off Astrakhanje, 930.0 m~3/d (5 840 bbl/d) of light water-free low sulfur oil was recovered during the production test at low draw-down. In only few wells in Russia have such producing capacity, where average producing capacity is around 12.4 m~3/d (77.7 bbl/d).
