摘要

The differential detection of speckle patterns is shown to provide zero-mean Gaussian-distributed random numbers with standard deviations proportional to laser power. Experimental results obtained with an integrated differential pair of phototransistors basically composed of six CMOS and two bipolar transistors have shown excellent theoretical agreement. The approach combines a good quality of randomness, improved accuracy on the Gaussian statistics, and massive integration potentialities.
