摘要

An efficient Near-Infrared (NIR) quantum cutting (QC) in Eu~(2+)-Yb~(3+) co-doped Sr_3Gd(PO_4)_3 phosphor has been investigated. Upon excitation of Eu~(2+) with an ultraviolent (UV) photon at 343 nm, two NIR emissions have been obtained from 2~F_(7/2) → 2~F_(5/2) transition of Yb~(3+). The luminescence spectra both in visible (VIS) and NIR regions and decay lifetime curves of Eu~(2+) have been measured to prove energy transfer (ET) from Eu~(2+) to Yb~(3+). The highest energy transfer efficiency (ETE) related to Yb~(3+) concentration was found to be 85.3%. So that the Sr_3Gd(PO_4)_3 co-doped with Eu~(2+) and Yb~(3+) may be candidates to modify the spectral and improve the solar cell efficiency.
