摘要

Eu2+-doped Na3SrMg11(PO4)(9) has been identified as an efficient blue phosphor recently. The emission properties can be significantly improved by introducing Ce3+ ions into Na3SrMg11(PO4) :Eu2+ phosphor. It is also witnessed that the emission intensity of Eu2+ band increases firstly, and then decreases with the increasing of Tb3+ concentration. Spectral analysis indicates that the luminescence properties of Eu2+ are controlled via the energy transfers between Eu2+ and Ce3+/Tb3+ and the changes in the valence state of Eu ions. Codoping Ce3+/Tb3+ ions facilitates the reduction of Eu3+ in the Na3SrMg11(PO4)(9) host. Not only could the effective concentration of Eu2+ luminescence center be increased, but also the non-radiative transition probability between Eu2+ and Eu3+ could be reduced, leading to an enhancement of Eu2+ luminescence. The strategy of codoping Ce3+/Tb3+ ions as charge compensation agent suggested herein would also work for other phosphors containing mixed valence of dopants.
