摘要

We demonstrate a wavelength-transparent stimulated-Brillouin-scattering (SBS) approach for slow light.nOur approach makes use of a cross-gain-modulation-based wavelength converter and a Brillouin fiber laser.nThe input wavelength is converted to become spectrally aligned to the resonance induced by SBS. The maxi-nmum delay achieved is 26 ns with a 30 dB Brillouin gain. The delay variation is less than 0.2 ns over 40 nmnwavelength detuning of the input signal. © 2008 Optical Society of America
