LPI will be expanding its capabilities in digital packaging and enhancement with the installation of multiple Scodix Ultra 6000 digital enhancement presses. In a press release from LPI, the company states that these presses will be the first of their size in North America, and the first installation will take place in July at LPI's facility in New Berlin, Wis. The release states that the Scodix presses will allow LPI to produce more short-run, variable, and personalized projects, and feature a variety of embellishments including embossing, foil, metallic effects, glitter, and specialty finishes. The press can accommodate sheet sizes of 29×41".
